We regret to inform you that over the past couple of weeks we’ve received a great amount of feedback from our clients and some of it was not positive.

Our main goal is to help you land as many gigs as possible, offering important tips and tools as indicated on the MAX Agency Policies & Procedures handout and the Audition Info form. It is absolutely imperative that these instructions be followed in order to gain success within the talent industry. Furthermore, when auditioning you not only represent yourself, you also represent MAX Agency and poor representation of both is highly unacceptable.

Complaints received by our clients are as follows; poor choice of clothing, gum chewing,  leaning on desk, arriving late and showing up unprepared.

The following tips will help you appear more professional when in a professional setting and increase the possibility of booking auditions.

Clothing attire:

• Female talent are expected to wear a black, form-fitting black dress with heels or knee-high boots. Hair should always be worn down. NO color nail polish and NO jeans or accessories.

• Male talent are expected to wear a black button-down shirt with slacks. Clothing must be neat. NO wrinkles and NO jeans.

Key pointers:

• Always arrive prepared. You MUST carry your portfolio book, comp card and resume with you at all times when going on an audition.

• Always arrive 5-10 minutes early.

• NEVER lean over the clients desk. Sit-up straight.

• Always be alert, professional and pleasant.

• NO gum chewing!

• NEVER discuss payment with the client. It will be handled by MAX Agency.

Alexandria L of MAX Agency Toronto has booked a role in the short film, Nayan and the Evil Eye! She has booked the role of Emily!

Nayan and the Evil Eye is a short film about a little boy named Nayan who finds a sharp glass and discovers it holds dangerous powers. The film is funded by the Ontario Arts Council (OAC), a council board of 12 that offers grants and services to many Ontario-based artists and arts organizations. They  established in 1963 to foster the creation and production of art for all Ontarians. The council board is clad with volunteers who are appointed by the Government of Ontario for a three-year term. In 2011-2012, the Ontario Arts Council funded 1, 681 individual artists, 1, 125 organizations in 216 communities across Ontario.

Alexandria L

We are not surprised Alexandria got the part! Just look at this little cutie – she’s infectious! Alexandria is skilled in yoga, bowing and jump rope. She can also dance very well, sing and even play the piano. Although the film is silent, we just know Alexandria will shine!

Meet Kelly G! She’s the newest face to join us at MAX Agency Toronto!

Kelly G

MAX Agency’s Kelly G has a unique exotic look that stands out from the crowd! Kelly’s gorgeous curly hair and beautiful smile aren’t the only things she has going for her. Kelly is very athletic, she is trained in Marital Arts, and she loves ice skating and bowling. Kelly has been submitted for feature film Transformers 4 and the TV series Falling Skies to names a few! Most recently Kelly just landed an audition for Bell Media!

Great news! Bradley M of MAX Agency Toronto has booked a commercial with Johnston Group Insurance! Congrats, Bradley M!

Johnston Group Insurance has been around since 1965 and provides benefit services to more than 28,000 businesses. With their headquarters in Winnipeg, Johnston Group Insurance issues 300 new group cases a month and much more. They are recognized as  one of Canada’s leading third party administrators. The idea behind a third party administrator (TPA) is that an insurance company cannot be all things to all people. As TPA’s, they carry out many things that I typically meant to be handled by the insurer. Some of the things they do is plan and design administration, handle billing and customer service, online administration utilities, give access to pay-direct prescription drug cards, and offer insured and self-funded program options.

Bradley M

We are so proud of Bradley M! Bradley is good at bowling, cycling and swimming. He can also model, play the bongo and even the drums! We believe he will do so well in the Johnston Group Insurance commercial and wish him many more commercials to come.

Meet Andrew S! This cutie recently joined our roster at Toronto’s MAX Agency!

MAX Agency’s Andrew S is a fresh cute face on our roster! Even though Andrew is only 5 years old, he is exceptionally charming and advanced beyond his years. Andrew is a very active and ambitious little boy. He is involved in martial arts and is working towards his black belt one day! Andrew also loves to sing and perform, which is definitely going to come in handy for his future auditions! Although Andrew is new to MAX Agency, he has already been submitted for a Canadian Tire commercial and just recently landed an audition with Wal-Mart!

MAX Agency is looking forward to continually working with Andrew to help him accomplish his dreams!

Austin K and Kay D of MAX Agency Toronto have the awesome opportunity to audition for the City of Brampton’s new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service, Zum! How great is that?!

Zum, pronounced “zoom”, was created to provide Brampton residents with an efficient, comfortable, high frequency service. The first BRT line, Zum Queen Street started in September 2010 and runs from Brampton, Ontario to the transit hub at York University. A year later, Zum expanded and included a whole new line. This fall, Zum Steeles Avenue will start operating between the new Brampton Gateway Terminal and Humber College’s North Campus in Toronto.

Zum offers a limited amount of stops to ensure riders get to their destination sooner and real-time ‘next bus’ information at all station stops and terminals. It also comes equipped with a series of advanced technologies, reliability, comfort and seamless integration.

Austin K

Kay D

Austin K is a man of many talents! He can easily master several accents like Asian, Australian, Jamaican, French, British and West Indian! Austin is East Indian and has a number of amazing performance skills. He can sing, with vocal ranges between bass, baritone and bari-tenor. He can also host, model, whistle, do magic tricks, mime and improv, just to name a few! And Kay D is just so great at what she does! She’s already booked Revera Retirement Living print ad and a Canada Purple Shield commercial! We know these two would be perfect for Zum’s print ad!

Toronto MAX Agency’s Ian C has landed an audition for a commercial with Canadian coffee giant, Tim Hortons! How exciting!

As Canada’s largest fast food service, Tim Hortons is known for their coffee, doughnuts and affordable prices. Tim Hortons, often called “Timmys” was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario by Canadian hockey player Tim Horton and Jim Charade. In 1967 Horton partnered with Ron Joyce who took over the business when Horton died in 1974. Ron Joyce eventually the chain into a multi-million dollar franchise. As of July 1, 2012 Tim Hortons has 4,701 restaurants in total with 3,326 in Canada and 734 in the United States.

Ian C

Ian C is great at his craft and can speak with two different accents, Scottish and British! When it comes to his performance skills Ian can model, DJ and sing (his vocal range is a bass). He’s also quite active with experience in boating, fly fishing, volleyball, ice hockey and frisbee just to name a few! We are confident Ian will be a shoe-in for the Tim Hortons commercial because of his strong, relatable features and amazing acting skills!

Even though we don’t think it’s needed, we will keep our fingers crossed for you Ian C!

Exciting news! Dimitrios T has booked a music video for Canadian singer-songwriter and musician, Lindi Ortega! Dimitrios will play the role of a cowboy!

Lindi Ortega is a talented artist who plays a mixture of acoustic, alternative and folk music. The Toronto native spent almost a decade in the Toronto music scene as an independent artist. During that time she released two albums, The Taste of Forbidden Fruit, Fall from Grace and an EP. Now residing in Nashville, Tennesse, Ortega is signed to Last Gang Records. Her most recent album, Cigarettes and Truckstops features songs like “Little Lie” and “The Day You Die”. Earlier this year she was nominated for two Juno Awards – New Artist of the Year and Roots & Traditional Album: Solo.

Dimitrios T

The casting directors were looking for someone with a rugged, attractive, distinctive look and we couldn’t think of anyone more perfect that Dimitrios! With such handsome features and an athletic body, who could turn him away? Dimitrios engages in scuba diving, bowling, cycling, rollerblading and canoeing just to name a few! We are so thrilled you got the part, well done Dimitrios!

Meet Genevieve C! She’s been doing so well since joining us at Toronto’s MAX Agency!

MAX Agency’s Genevieve C is a little girl with big talent! Genevieve has a natural energy that fills the room and a beautiful bright smile that’s hard to miss! Genevieve loves to figure skate and is a great swimmer. Even though Genevieve is a fresh face to MAX Agency’s roster, she has already been submitted for Ikea, YTV ZOink’d and Spinmaster Toys to name a few. Most recently, Genevieve has been selected to audition for a new pilot series, Haunted Hathaways!

MAX Agency has no doubt that Genevieve will shine for her big opportunity!

Awesome news! Kelly G of Toronto’s MAX Agency has landed an audition for a commercial with Canadian telecommunications giant Bell Canada! If all goes well, Kelly will play the role of an artsy, eccentric design girl!

Bell is Canada’s largest communications company. Founded in 1880 with their headquarters located in Montreal, Quebec, Bell provides broadband and communication services to business and residential customers in Canada. Their services include high-speed Fibe Internet, Fibe TV, Satellite TV, Bell Mobility, Virgin Mobile and home phone and long distance services. Still doesn’t ring a bell? The next time you happen to make a phone call on a pay phone, make sure to check out the logo!

Kelly G

Kelly G would be great for the Bell commercial! With those long, luscious curly locks and piercing eyes, she would make the perfect art-loving gal! Speaking of the arts, this West-Indian/Middle Eastern/Canadian bombshell is extremely talented, with skills in hip hop dance and ballroom. She can also do improv and play the piano. Kelly is athletic as well, with kickboxing, sculling, martial arts, swimming and canoeing underneath her belt (just some of her many talents!).
